Temporary staffing

Cover for short-term, seasonal and fluctuating demand, without taking on a permanent hire.

What this service covers

Temporary workers supplied against your role specification, with right to work checks, assignment paperwork and day-to-day coordination handled by us for the length of the booking.

We supply temporary workers to employers who need to flex their headcount up for a period and then back down again. You tell us the role, the volume, the shift pattern and the dates; we source against that specification, complete the pre-assignment checks, and manage the administration for as long as the booking runs.

Included

  • Sourcing and screening against your written role specification
  • Right to work verification before the assignment starts
  • Assignment paperwork, including the Key Information Document each worker is entitled to
  • Booking confirmation, shift scheduling and start-date coordination
  • Cover arranged where a booked worker does not attend
  • Timesheet collection, checking and query resolution
  • Assignment records maintained for the length of the booking

Excluded

we are not a permanent recruitment consultancy and we do not carry out permanent placement or executive search. We do not give immigration advice or handle sponsor licence applications. While on assignment, workers are under your day-to-day direction, supervision and site control.

What this service helps with

01.

Headcount that matches demand

Take on cover for a peak, a project or an absence and stand it down again afterwards, without a permanent salary commitment.

02.

Checks completed before day one

Right to work verification and assignment documentation are done before the worker arrives on site, not chased afterwards.

03.

One point of contact

A named lead contact handles the booking, the timesheets and any cover needed, rather than each worker dealing with you separately.

04.

A documented booking

Rates, shift pattern, duration and notice are set out in writing before anyone starts, so the cost is known in advance.

How we charge

an agreed margin on top of the worker's cost, charged per hour or per shift, or a fixed fee for a defined booking. The basis and the amount are set out in writing before the assignment starts.

How this engagement runs

Every TechLexiq engagement follows the same six stages, whether it is a two-week booking or an ongoing arrangement.

  1. 01 EnquiryYou tell us what you need: the roles and volumes, the administration you want covered, or both. Email is usually quickest, and there is no charge for this stage.
  2. 02 Requirement reviewWe go through the detail — shift patterns, duration, pay frequency, the systems the work sits in, and who needs to approve what. Typically a call of 30 to 45 minutes.
  3. 03 Written agreementYou receive a document setting out the scope, what sits outside it, the fee basis, turnaround times and the notice period. Nothing starts until you have accepted it.
  4. 04 OnboardingFor staffing, we complete right to work checks and issue assignment paperwork. For administration, we document your process, agree system access on a least-privilege basis, and set up reporting lines.
  5. 05 DeliveryWorkers start, or the administration runs, against the agreed schedule. You receive a written summary of completed work and outstanding items every week.
  6. 06 ReviewOngoing arrangements are reviewed every quarter so scope, volumes and fee can be adjusted as your demand changes — in writing, before any change takes effect.
